An Ofsted Good rated school in Bolton is in need of experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team immediately. The position will continue until the end of the academic year, with potential to go permanent for the right person. The school is looking for individuals who can support pupils on both a group and 1:1 basis across the school with various needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
About the Role:
- Full-time role as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
- Supporting children with a range of SEN including ASD, ADHD, speech and language and challenging behaviour
- Working closely with the class teachers to provide individualised support for students on both a group and 1:1 basis
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
- Providing additional support during lessons and activities
- Monitoring and reporting on student progress
- Collaborating with other teaching staff and professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support
